November 29 List of references for the 'To Bring Omar Home Or Not - the Facts' video[April 02, 2009 update: the video referred to in the heading is about to go bye-bye. New info and insights necessitate a major revision, forthcoming very soon, I hope. In the meantime, I have provided info from the video to the references below, to give them a context even in the absence of the video]:
In the 'Omar Khadr Records" folder to the left, you will find many of the most striking records on the subject - such as the FBI report on the treatment of prisoners at Gitmo; and the combined U.S. and Cdn. "Foreign Affairs" reports, which I have cynically labelled "CSIS Report...." - as well as the autopsy reports of the two prisoners who were murdered at Bagram, the 2007 and 2008 Canadian high court cases involving Omar, and so on.
Here is the List of References cited on the video, plus a few other items of interest:
From the video:
Omar Khadr is charged with the throwing the grenade that killed U.S. Marine Sgt. Speer on July 27, 2002. Michelle Shephard, National Security Reporter for the Toronto Star, and her colleague, Carla Rosenberg, reporter for the Miami Herald, were accidentally given copies of a U.S. DOD report on the fire-fight which stated that Sgt. Speer's killer had died in the firefight:

Omar Khadr was shot in the back in the firefight that killed Sgt. Speer:

Omar Khadr was grilled for three years before he was charged with anything, according to one of his Canadian lawyers, Dennis Edney. The reference below is no longer available, however I intend to explore this and other statements made by Omar Khadr's assorted legal counsel in my upcoming video on Omar Khadr and the 4th Element.

Omar Khadr was subjected to various forms of abuses. See the references below and also, especially, Reference 20, which provides conclusive proof:

Two high court rulings, one by the Canadian Supremes and one by the Feds, affirms that the Charter of Rights applies to Omar, the U.S. abused those rights and Canadian officials were "complicit" in at least some of those abuses:

Be warned: this is a huge, 5MB, file
Reference (20): This makes for grim reading. It establishes that Canadian officials "interrogated" Omar Khadr at the behest of U.S. officials - who had even stated that they did not expect "to get much out of the interrogations." Moreover, the report signed by then-Foreign Affairs Intelligence chief Scott Heatherington records the admission that "the Canadian delegation" knew in advance of those interrogations that Omar Khadr had been subjected to serious sleep and environment deprivations for one month with the stated purpose of "softening him up" for the Canadian delegation:
Reference (21): Every other western country with citizens in GITMO, including Britain, France, Austria and Germany, demanded and got their repatriation. Moreover, Canada is the only western country that has not officially condemned the patent lack of due process at GITMO:
Reference (22): There have been many credible reports of rights abuses at GITMO:
